Being that Eric is my husband’s cousin, we of course had to capture both the photo and video for his and Kate’s incredible wedding day at Chalet View Lodge! Set in the breathtaking alpine town of Portola, California, this was my first time visiting. Wow — it did not disappoint. A Forest Ceremony & Romantic Reception

Their outdoor ceremony at Chalet View Lodge felt both intimate and expansive, set right in nature’s embrace. One of the most touching moments came when Eric’s brother walked down the aisle carrying a photo of their mother, who had passed away when they were younger. The moment moved the entire family to tears. The emotion in the air was undeniable, and it reminded everyone of the deep love surrounding Eric and Kate.

Guests then witnessed vows under the towering pines, a ceremony filled with both joy and remembrance.

Afterwards, the celebration continued with dinner under the golden light, heartfelt speeches, and stunning sunset portraits near the pond. Later in the evening, Eric surprised Kate with a guitar performance of ‘Don’t Give Up On Me’ by Zach Bryan. The entire space shifted — a raw and emotional moment no one will ever forget. Guests danced beneath the moonlight as the reception carried on into the night.
